"My Babe" 1976 Lincoln Continental Mk IV
- Bill Blass Special Edition
owned by Ray & Anita - March 2005 ~ November 2006
I really loved driving this car - the power was
"something else". Anita was never really a great fan of it , she thought it was
too big and flashy. Anita doesn't drive, so we can only go out in one car
at a time and we both preferred our 1950 Chrysler as it was more fitting to our
style. So the Lincoln sat on the drive, wrapped up, hardly used and yet, due to
our unfair taxation system, still costing us a year's road tax and insurance. It
just seemed a complete waste of a vehicle and space ( blocking the view from our
living room ). Instead of just leaving there for months on end in November 2006
we sold it. Mechanically it was superb, the interior was very good, it had five
excellent tyres, stainless steel exhausts and it just needed exterior cosmetics -
no rust holes to deal with. We hope the new
owners are enjoying it -
